Property Description:
This property has plenty of privacy, with no other homes visible, sitting atop a rocky bluff and overlooking the Franklin area. The land is fairly flat along the grassy driveway and up to the cabin, but then drops off steeply at the cliffs and extends down the hill to an old logging road. Mixed pines and deciduous forest give you year-round green cover. If you take the long way in from the Dickenson Road gate, there will be no steep hills to climb. Entering from the Rt. 33 gate is much shorter, but also steeper. 4WD strongly recommended for year-round use of this beautiful property. The Home:
The owners of this home are leaving the new owners with a gem! New owner enjoys the view from the large (500 sq ft) deck. Flawlessly finished, tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. All you need to bring is your toothbrush. Thoughtful owners have included all furnishings, linens, table, tableware, decorations, wall art, lighting, TV, radio, etc. into the attractive price. The excellent water treatment system is cleverly arranged out of sight, but convenient for maintenance, in the bath. UV sterilizer and charcoal filter provide the best possible water quality for all home needs.

Thoughts from prior Owners:
"The place is spectacular.  We had friends up about every other time we were there.  We spent a ton of time sitting out on the deck looking at the views, playing board games, reading and cooking on the grill and playing with the dogs.  We typically did about one big outdoor activity each weekend, although sometimes we were lazy and just hung out at the place drinking cocktails. We're both into hiking, road biking and mountain biking, and there is plenty of that around.  We would often walk or mtn bike on the mountain itself, but you're only a short distance from the huge national forest and state parks, including Spruce Knob, Seneca Rocks and our favorite, Dolly Sods Wilderness.  We also discovered Nelson Preserve which offers safe, unguided climbing for amateurs like us: http://www.nelsonrocks.org/ - it's called "Via Feratta".  Great time.  Franklin is a great little town too". 

Buck Ridges:
Over 1000 acres of quiet, rustic, backwoods roads, trails and cabins just three miles from downtown Franklin. All the needed aspects of civilization (underground power & phone), plus the excitement of a truly backwoods setting. 4WD highly recommended at all times... essential in winter.
