Stonecoal Lake holds state records not only for Muskellunge, but also for Rainbow Trout (11.74 lbs), Golden Rainbow Trout (8.63 lbs) and Carp (41.5 lbs). Concrete boat ramps are located at both ends of the lake. Boat motors are restricted to 10 horsepower, or less.
Stonecoal Lake Wildlife Management Area directly adjoins The Meadows at Stonecoal Lake, offering 3000 acres of hunting and hiking opportunities. The Community... The Meadows at Stonecoal lake
This new lakeside community offers paved roads, central sewer, public water, natural gas and lake access, all in a rural setting but just a few miles from town. All homes will be constructed with log, cedar and stone exteriors to maintain a natural appearance.  Additional roads and numerous new homes are under construction. New owners of homes here are a mix of full-time residents and weekenders from WV, PA, NJ and the DC Metro area.

Protective Covenants and Restrictions have been established within The Meadows of Stonecoal Lake to protect the land and property values.
Summary of Restrictive Covenants   No lot shall be subdivided.  All lots shall be used for residential purposes.
